Our client is seeking a Director, Client Services (AVP/VP level) to lead a high-performing benefits account management team while ensuring exceptional client retention, satisfaction, and strategic service delivery. This is not a producer role. The focus is on leading teams, strengthening client relationships, and driving service excellence across a defined book of business. This position is ideal for someone with deep employee benefits experience, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for developing both client strategy and team performance. Key Responsibilities Client Retention & Relationship Management Serve as the senior point of contact for a defined portfolio of key accounts Lead the development and execution of client strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders Maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, producers, and carrier partners Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address service issues or escalations Identify cross-sell opportunities and support internal teams in expanding client relationships Team Leadership & Oversight Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of account managers and benefits consultants Ensure clear role expectations, accountability, and career development support Oversee team workload distribution and performance tracking Serve as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for day-to-day service issues Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new team members Collaboration & Communication Partner with regional and national resources to enhance client deliverables Communicate consistently with leadership, sharing client trends, risks, and growth opportunities Promote best practices and process improvements across your team and the market Qualifications 7-10+ years of employee benefits experience within a brokerage or consulting environment 3+ years of direct team leadership or people management Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships Deep understanding of self-funded and fully insured benefit strategies Excellent communication, coaching, and project management skills Georgia Life & Health license required (or willingness to obtain)
