Job Description
Manages the administration, compliance and strategic management of all retirement plans sponsored by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Inc.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience with employer-sponsored retirement plans
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the day-to-day administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans for a large tax-exempt organization
Experience with Workday Employee Benefits Administration software
Experience with Fidelity Plan Sponsor Webstation software
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or similar professional certification
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Solid understanding of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and other regulations governing defined contribution retirement plans
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to troubleshoot, recommend and implement solutions from end to end
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others
Ability to collaborate and work effectively across various levels of the organization
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the daily administration of all retirement Plans. Children’s sponsors two qualified Plans, a 403(b) Plan with an employer matching contribution and a 401(a) Plan with a discretionary employer contribution. Additionally, Children’s sponsors two nonqualified Plans for a select group of employees, a 457(b) Plan and a 457(f) Plan.
Collaborate with third-party administrators, recordkeepers and consultants to manage the operations of each Plan.
Monitor Plan contributions, distributions, and participant transactions to ensure alignment with Plan documents and relevant regulations.
Establish and monitor annual budget for all retirement Plans.
Review and approve retirement Plan communications, including enrollment materials, Plan updates and participant notices.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and Department of Labor (DOL) requirements.
Prepare and oversee the submission of required filings (e.g., Form 5500), annual audits, and nondiscrimination testing.
Conduct regular audits of all retirement Plans to ensure compliance with Plan documents and applicable regulations.
Provide guidance to employees regarding Plan features, eligibility, and benefits to enhance participant engagement and retirement readiness.
Serve as the primary liaison with Plan vendors, ensuring service agreements are met and issues are resolved promptly.
Partner with Human Resources Service Center to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer service experience when employees engage with our retirement Plans.
Develop strong internal relationships within HR, Legal, Finance/Payroll, and other teams to deliver a top-notch employee experience.
Manage and lead team of Benefits Analysts, including interviewing, hiring, training, managing performance, and encouraging ongoing skill development.
