Reporting to the VP of HR, the Senior Manager, Compensation will serve as Keystone’s firm-wide expert on compensation, ensuring our programmes are market-relevant, scalable, and aligned with our performance goals. This role sits within the HR team and is a key interface to the C-suite. The ideal candidate will combine structured thinking and analytical strength with strong relationship-building skills, enabling them to advise senior stakeholders and build compensation frameworks that support both immediate and long-term growth. This role will lead the strategic and operational management of compensation, including benchmarking, job architecture, performance-linked pay, and annual planning cycles. The role also oversees the 401(k) programme in partnership with our benefits providers. We are looking for a compensation leader who brings a clear point of view, operates with a high degree of ownership, and thrives in an environment where rigour, collaboration, and momentum are valued. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual compensation benchmarking programme across job families, maintaining competitive intelligence and recommending structural changes to stay market-relevant Serve as a subject matter expert on effective compensation strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent across the firm Conduct ad hoc analyses to market price roles and evaluate competitive gaps Maintain a job description library, performing role evaluations, and advising on compensation levelling and architecture. Partner with Recruiting to guide placement and levelling during hiring processes Design and run the annual budget for merit increases, promotions, and bonus programmes in coordination with Finance Manage the 401(k) plan, including vendor relationships, compliance, and employee education Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure governance alignment and an updated Cap Table (note: equity components remain with Finance) Recommend and implement tools, reporting enhancements, and system improvements to strengthen compensation transparency and operational efficiency Act as a thought leader to evolve and future-proof compensation strategy as the firm scales A successful candidate will have demonstrated their ability to: Partner effectively with senior stakeholders, including C-level leaders Use data and modelling to drive insight, clarify complex issues, and support critical business decisions Communicate persuasively in both written and verbal formats across all levels of the organisation Navigate programmes and recommendations across a variety of internal stakeholders with clarity and conviction Develop and maintain scalable compensation frameworks, models, and governance tools Recommend new policies and programmes that align with evolving business objectives Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership
Experience:
7+ years of experience in compensation or total rewards, ideally with both design and delivery accountability Strong track record managing benchmarking, merit and bonus cycles, performance-linked compensation, and reporting Experience managing 401(k) plans and related compliance processes Prior exposure to high-growth, consulting, or professional services environments preferred Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with compensation systems or tools Demonstrated success in advising senior leadership on compensation matters
Qualifications:
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical and quantitative skills with outstanding attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while managing complexity and ambiguity
US Salary Range:
$110,000- $125,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) contribution, and competitive benefits package.
