Account Manager – Health & Welfare Brokerage ???? Red Bank, NJ | Potential Hybrid Schedule (after 9-12 months based on performance) ???? Full-Time | Reports to: Senior Account Manager ????
Compensation:
$22-$24 per hour , based on experience Make an impact in the world of employee benefits. An established and client-focused health & welfare brokerage firm is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Account Manager to join its growing team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a solid background in employee benefits, and is ready to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative group. This is an on-site position in Red Bank, NJ , with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after 9-12 months , based on performance and team needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing benefits-related inquiries and administrative issues Coordinate with insurance carriers and vendors to resolve enrollment discrepancies, claims concerns, and billing problems Prepare client-ready documents, including presentations, reports, and spreadsheets using Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Assist with client renewals, strategic planning, and benefit communication development Maintain accurate client records, plan documents, and compliance files Track open service issues through resolution and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders Support onboarding and implementation of new benefit plans, carriers, and services Stay up to date on industry trends, market updates, and regulatory developments
Qualifications:
Required:
2-5 years of experience in employee benefits, preferably in a brokerage or consulting environment Strong working knowledge of health & welfare plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, etc.) Proven ability to resolve issues with insurance carriers and third-party administrators Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a client-centered environment
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Healthcare Administration, or related field Experience with benefits administration platforms or HRIS systems Life & Health insurance license (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
