PM Duration:
13 Weeks (Contract) | Potential Extension Based on Performance Key Responsibilities Prepare and file Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for hospitals/entities. Lead desk reviews and audits, wage index appeals, and related processes. Consult with hospital and regional teams on reimbursement strategy and compliance. Manage value-based reimbursement initiatives (VBP, HAC, Readmission Reduction). Maintain models and tools for Medicaid UPL, DSH, and directed payment programs. Analyze inpatient/outpatient reimbursement (DRGs, APCs, CMGs, psychiatric). Ensure compliance with federal/state healthcare finance regulations. Collaborate across UHS departments to drive strategic reimbursement solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration. 10+ years of Medicare and Medicaid hospital reimbursement experience.
Strong knowledge of:
DRG, APC, CMG, and psychiatric payment systems GME and IME reimbursement regulations Medicaid supplemental payments (UPL, DSH) Value-based programs: VBP, HAC, Readmissions Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) Experience using HFS cost report software Familiarity with McKesson General Ledger and Siemens Invision systems preferred. Preferred Attributes Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects independently Executive presence and ability to interact across senior levels
