Job Summary:

The Compensation Manager is responsible for management and administration of compensation and some benefit programs. Works closely with the Director, Total Rewards, Director, HR/Organizational Development, HR Managers, HRIS Manager, Benefits Specialist and Operations leaders. The Compensation Manager manages the organization’s pay structure. Other responsibilities include monitoring market conditions and government regulations to ensure MNAA’s organization’s pay rates are current and competitive.

Essential Responsibilities:

Creates compensation programs that establish pay grades and criteria for raises. Develops new benefits programs to increase total compensation for employees. Creates development of compensation related policies. Educates employees and managers about compensation policies, procedures, and philosophy. Sets and adjusts pay and benefits structures to ensure they are competitive and compliant with regulations. Generates reports and provides insights on compensation trends, costs, and effectiveness. Researches market trends to evaluate the competitiveness of salaries; oversees the job grading and process for the creation of new roles into our grading structure. Reviews, evaluates and revises compensation programs regularly. Conducts surveys to assess employee satisfaction with pay and benefits. Advises both the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring leaders as needed about matters related to pay. Compiles and audits annual performance incentive calculations for annual pay-out. Aligns compensation programs with recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates. Complies with federal, state and local compensation laws, such as minimum wage regulations. Analyzes appropriate surveys for benchmarking compensation and benefits programs. Partners with the Talent Acquisition Team as needed to review special compensation scenarios. Works with Finance to forecast benefits and compensation costs. Ensures that compensation programs are supportive of Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness (DEI). Maintains regular and on-time attendance. Follows all safety regulations. Supports MNAA’s commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE). Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources and Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer.
