JOB SUMMARY
Faith Promise is looking for a full-time Director of Next Steps & Connections for our Pellissippi Campus, who is passionate about joining a team that is going to Win the World. This role will report to the Pellissippi Campus Pastor and will be responsible to lead and oversee the church’s Next Steps and assimilation processes, ensuring people are consistently connected to the life of the church through clear pathways, personal engagement, and ongoing support. This role focuses on the effectiveness of systems that help individuals move from first-time guests to fully engaged, using data to drive strategic improvements.

JOB DETAILS
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following items:
Lead Assimilation Strategy:
Own the end-to-end assimilation journey, from first-time guest follow-up through Next Steps participation, serving, and deeper discipleship. Create clear pathways for people to get involved and grow, including welcome events, Next Steps, First Serve, small groups, and serving teams.
Data & Process Evaluation:
Monitor and analyze weekly data on attendance, retention, Next Steps participation, and engagement. Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve connection and engagement rates. Regularly report assimilation metrics to leadership and recommend strategic adjustments.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and develop the Winning Team to support Next Steps, such as Guest Services, Connect Team, and Next Steps facilitators. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and resources to ensure Winning Team members are equipped to serve with excellence.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure all Next Steps environments (welcome events, weekly experiences, etc.) are executed with consistency, clarity, and hospitality. Develop and maintain systems and communication tools that support effective follow-up and engagement.
Collaboration:
Work closely with ministry leaders to ensure alignment and integration of the assimilation process with other church initiatives (e.g., fpGroups, fpKids, fpStudents, GBB, Stephen Ministry, fpCelebrate, etc.). Facilitate cross-functional meetings to keep assimilation goals front and center across departments. Perform all other duties assigned by the Campus Pastor or Executive Pastors
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION
This position is a full-time, exempt role with an expected schedule of 40 hours per week. Benefit offerings include Medical Insurance, Health Savings Account, 403b Retirement, Life Insurance, Dental, Vision, Accident, and Critical Illness coverage. Employees also accrue paid Vacation and PTO time. Compensation is determined based on education and experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in leadership, volunteer development, and systems implementation. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data for strategic decision-making. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Passion for connecting people and building a thriving church community. Deep alignment with the vision, culture, and values of the church. Flexible and adaptable Must be willing to become a Core Member of Faith Promise Church within one year of hire Must be willing to complete WIN Leadership College within one year of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with non-profit organizations Experience in working with a growing or decentralized organization
