JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for research, critical analysis, preparation, review, and internal consulting in preparation for filing the annual Medicare, Medicaid, and Champus/Tricare cost reports and State of Tennessee reimbursement reporting for the system. Prepares cost report re-openings and appeal papers, audit preparation and other cost report settlement activity and related supporting reserve worksheets for financial statement preparation. Collaborates with others in finance and management in the reimbursement regulations and regulatory, operational, and financial impacts of proposed operational decisions throughout the system. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Accounting/Finance or 5 years equivalent work experience Required Microsoft Excel Required
RHC/FQHC
Required Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Required IME/GME Preferred In-depth knowledge of government reimbursement rules and regulations Preferred 5 Years Experience in hospital third party reimbursement and cost reporting Preferred
