    Remote Position Summary:

    The Benefits Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and administration of the organization’s employee benefits programs across all facilities. This includes health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leaves of absence, and related compliance activities. The role serves as a subject matter expert on all aspects of employee benefits and plays a critical role in ensuring employees understand and maximize the value of their benefits. The Benefits Manager works closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and leadership to ensure the benefits strategy aligns with the company’s business objectives and talent needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Benefits Program Administration Manage and oversee the administration of employee benefits programs including, but not limited to: Medical, dental, vision insurance, Life and ADD insurance, Short- and long-term disability Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) 401(k) or retirement plan offerings Serve as the main liaison between the organization and third-party benefits vendors and brokers. Manage the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process, including plan review, system configuration, employee education, and communication. Oversee benefits-related communication strategies and materials, ensuring clarity and accessibility for employees at all levels. Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding benefit eligibility, plan details, enrollment, and claim resolution. Compliance & Legal Requirements

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, and others.
    • Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
    • Lead the preparation and submission of required filings, Summary Annual Reports, and nondiscrimination testing.
    • Maintain accurate plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs). Leaves of Absence Workers’ Compensation Support
    • Oversee and coordinate leave of absence programs including
    FMLA, CFRA

    (California), ADA, military, and personal leaves, in coordination with third-party administrators.

    • Partner with HR team and facility leaders to track return-to-work timelines and ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal requirements.
    • Support the workers’ compensation process in partnership with insurance carriers and internal risk or safety teams as applicable. Benefits Strategy Analysis
    • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure benefit offerings remain competitive and cost-effective.
    • Prepare regular reports on benefit utilization, cost trends, employee engagement, and ROI.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to HR leadership on benefit design, plan enhancements, and vendor negotiations. HRIS Payroll Integration
    • Collaborate with Payroll and HRIS teams to ensure benefit data integrity, accurate deductions, and seamless system integration (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, benefits portals).
    • Audit benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
    Qualifications:

    Education and Certification

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • PHR, SPHR, or
    SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP

    certification preferred. Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
    • Prior experience working with multi-site or healthcare organizations strongly preferred.
    • Proven experience in benefits compliance and vendor management. Skills & Competencies
    • Deep knowledge of employee benefits regulations and practices.
    • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency with HRIS and benefits platforms (e.

    g., ADP Workforce Now)

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

    Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods and manage high volumes of data and communications. Must reside in the state of

    $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
