Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Director of Total Rewards to lead and enhance our compensation, benefits, retirement, and relocation programs. This highly visible role will oversee a team of professionals, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of Total Rewards across the organization. You’ll play a critical role in shaping our employee experience, partnering with senior leadership, HR, finance, and legal to design programs that are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with company goals. Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day operations of compensation, benefits, retirement, relocation, and leave programs, ensuring consistency, compliance, and accuracy. Oversee salary and incentive structures, administer short-term incentive plans, and lead market benchmarking and survey participation. Manage all benefit programs (health, dental, vision, wellness, earned wage access), including annual renewals, vendor negotiations, and compliance. Oversee 401(k) and non-qualified retirement plans, ensuring effective administration, fiduciary oversight, and participation in plan audits. Lead employee relocation strategy and execution, ensuring seamless transitions and cost-effective practices. Ensure compliance with FMLA and other federal, state, and local leave regulations, as well as adherence to Service Contract Act (SCA) requirements. Analyze compensation and benefits data using advanced Excel and HR analytics, generating reports and insights to support business decisions. Collaborate across departments to align Total Rewards strategies with broader organizational goals. Develop employee communication strategies to clearly explain rewards programs and highlight their value. Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively updating programs to maintain competitiveness and compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards within a complex, multi-state organization. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage external vendors. Deep expertise in compensation strategy, plan design, and regulatory compliance. Advanced Excel skills and experience with HR metrics and analytics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Must be innovative, intellectually curious, and excited to build smarter, simpler total rewards solutions.
