JOB DESCRIPTION
Conducts Investigations
Conducts investigations for allegations of sexual harassment, including sexual assault, fondling, quid pro quo harassment, stalking, dating violence, and domestic violence. This position will be responsible for investigating claims of discrimination and harassment involving students, employees, and affiliates in a timely and professional manner. This includes interviewing witnesses, identifying, obtaining, and analyzing relevant evidence, making credibility assessments, conducting complex analyses under relevant legal standards, and producing high-quality investigation reports that will be forwarded to appropriate partners for adjudication. Conducts prompt and thorough investigations, acts as an impartial fact finder in the investigation process and works with departmental personnel in reviewing investigative findings. Serves as a professional representative of the UF Title IX Office in all interactions.
Writes investigative reports
Compiles investigative findings in a comprehensive, fact-based report, clarifies report findings, and securely documents/maintains investigative materials. Writes reports with the highest degree of clarity, consistency, and a reasonable portrayal of the facts as discovered during the investigation. Excellent report-writing skills are critical to this role, as professional investigative reports are a key part of the Title IX process. Ensures that reasonable timelines for investigations are upheld and maintains documentation according to records retention schedules using a case management system to ensure compliance. Process assessment and development
In partnership with other Title IX Investigators and the leadership team, monitors the Title IX Office’s response and investigation of complaints alleging violations of Title IX. Develops streamlined practices/procedures to ensure a compliant, transparent, and consistent Title IX investigative process is operationalized. Ensures that investigations are completed in a timely manner to ensure that appropriate due process is afforded. Follows the requirements of all federal and state laws and regulations (including Title IX) and applicable University regulations and policies. Maintains detailed and thorough records of all reports, complaints, investigations, and resolutions.
Compliance Oversight
Assists the Title IX team in overseeing regulatory compliance, especially as it relates to records created and maintained through the investigations processes. Works to ensure adherence to federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policies. Along with other Title IX Investigators, works to implement and oversee both compliant processes and associated records. Collects, analyzes, and maintains data related to Title IX investigations and utilizes this information to inform decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and prepare required reports for regulatory agencies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in Title IX, preferably within an institution of higher education.
Experience conducting investigative interviews.
Experience with trauma-informed investigations.
Experience maintaining professional and productive working relationships.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and diplomatic skills, be detail-oriented, have the ability to handle complex and confidential material.
