The Inclusion, Diversity, & Engagement Specialist III plays a key role in enhancing, expanding, and executing Stop & Shop’s Inclusion, Diversity, & Engagement strategy and priorities by building, delivering, enabling, and reporting on practices and programs that drive our leadership behaviors, strengthen our culture, and fulfill our employee value proposition. This role partners actively with leaders at all levels and associates in all functions in support of the Associate Resource Groups’ leadership, strategy, membership, engagement, and events. This role will also lead the associate engagement initiatives including the annual associate engagement survey, engagement communication meetings, associate engagement action planning, and internal and external recognition awards for associates, leaders, and organization. This position requires the ability to authentically and passionately inspire, motivate, and guide associates through indirect reporting relationships while continuously championing and improving diversity, inclusion, and engagement to ultimately grow our people, obsess over customers, and win together to deliver our strategy and purpose.
What we ask of you:
Support the execution of the Diversity, Inclusion, & Engagement strategy by delivering timely and high-quality programs, events, materials, and support. Collaborate with ARG leadership teams to support and guide the implementation of Associate Resource Group (ARG) strategic priorities and events that promote internal communities of belonging and allyship. Lead the coordination effort for twice annual Care in Action Volunteering events across the brand. Drive and lead associate engagement efforts through the planning, coordination, communication, and execution of the quarterly Engagement Meetings and annual Associate Engagement Survey and Action Planning. Lead the planning, deployment, communication, and result analysis supporting the annual associate engagement survey. Partner with Global and US brand inclusion, diversity, and engagement liaisons ensuring alignment to Stop & Shop talent and business strategies and adherence to key deliverables and deadlines. Consult with Global and US brand engagement liaisons to annually evaluate, influence, and evolve consistent and brand-specific Associate Engagement Survey questions to monitor organizational engagement. Lead the research, compilation, and submission of organizational information for external recognition and award nominations. Plan, communicate, and compile associate nominations for internal and external recognition programs and awards. Monitor, refine, and continuously improve diversity, inclusion, and engagement processes based on business feedback and evolving business needs. Provide insights support to proactively increase associate engagement and create a winning culture. Promote diversity and inclusion in staffing, associate relations, learning, and other HR discipline areas. Support the business proactively with internal communications, announcements and associated change management efforts pertaining to diversity, inclusion, and engagement. Remain informed of industry and diversity, inclusion, and engagement best practices and key trends. What you bring to the table: 5 years of HR experience in a relatable field Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience Broad scope of HR knowledge including knowledge in the areas of: Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Engagement, Associate Communication, Community Support, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development. S olid and curious business acumen with ability to provide operational insight and synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data. Driven by deep and personal purpose to champion inclusive, diverse, and engaged organizational culture. Deep active listening and empathy skills. Solid influencing skills. Outstanding people skills including the ability to build and maintain trusted working relationships with leaders and associates at all levels. Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Forms. Strong ability to translate data into a story to present recommendations or share results. Strong presentation skills, both in person and virtual formats. Strong project management skills including planning, executing, communicating, and evaluating progress and success. Strong change management skills including supporting a common goal, engaging with others, inspiring action and adoption. Proficiency in SuccessFactors HRIS.
