Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Answer incoming phone calls for the Women’s Health team and return voicemails
Maintain extensive knowledge of all Women’s Health providers’ panel & clinic access, scheduling preferences, compatible insurance plans, and standard visit schedule
Schedule initial new patient appointments and reschedule appointments as needed
Verify insurance and coverage
Work with HIM Department to request outside records
Maintain documentation for new patients consisting of new inbound calls, eCW special requests, and acute scheduling
Assist Administrative Team with scheduling routine and follow up appointments
Address basic billing questions and redirect as appropriate
Appropriately schedules all incoming referrals to the practice
Prepare and mail welcome packages to new patients
Confirm future appointments
Provide general practice information for patients as needed
Cover reception desks and PSR phones as requested by coordinator or manager
Review accounts for duplicates, merging profiles as necessary
Report unique new patient, insurance, and placement issues to Manager
Communicate regularly with management to ensure appropriate placement based on access
Enter referral data in the computer system
Maintain panel lists for all providers for each insurance company
Other responsibilities as directed by coordinator or manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous medical office experience preferred
Experience with EMR strongly desired
Proficiency with Windows based computer applications
Flexibility and willingness to work as a team member
Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

SCHEDULE
