Job Summary:
We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support the MPA Healthcare Improvement team in New York, NY. The selected candidate will be responsible for the complete credentialing lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date physician files and documentation. Ensure timely license renewals prior to expiration. Perform primary source verification for new and existing providers. Utilize MDStaff credentialing software for credentialing checks and reports. Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency in database entries. Interpret and comply with applicable regulatory standards and laws. Provide back-up support for other members of the credentialing team.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree – Required Previous experience in the Healthcare Field – Required Experience with credentialing, including audits and privileging Proficiency in MDStaff or similar credentialing software preferred Strong attention to detail and excellent record management skills
