Duties:
•Set up new employeesHandle employee benefitsHandle Workers CompensationDrug Testing for all employees (new and random checks that are required)Process Time Clock for PayrollRecord Vacation/Sick Leave WeeklyProcess Payroll for every department including the
Water Department:
Entering time, printing checks, generating reportsCompleting and processing all requirements for Federal and State taxes. This is done monthly, quarterly and annually including W2s.
Calculate and process retirement for each employee. This is done weekly.
Work with City Clerk on yearly health insurance.
Complete and Balance Bank Statements for several city accounts.
Process all 1st of the month checksOrdering all Office and Municipal Pool Purchases•
Other Duties:
•Back up to Admin Clerk/Purchasing Clerk (This means doing all duties assigned to these positions).Back up to Front Office Clerks (This means doing all duties assigned to those positions)Secretary and Treasurer for Industrial Development Board. This includes minutes for each meeting, balancing bank statements, generating accounts payable and receivable, setting up meetings and handling all correspondence.
Perform all other duties as assigned by City Clerk or Mayor•Minimum Training and Experience Required to
Perform Essential Job Functions:
•Associate’s degree or specialized training in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Management or a closely related field.2 to 5 years in payroll and Human Resource ExperienceComputer Skills (Excel and Word).Experience in processing Accounts Receivable/Payable. Fund accounting is preferred. Knowledge of Harris Solutions Software is a plus.
