  • Human Resources Assistant
  • || || || || || || || || || || Fortis Industries LLC is interviewing for a full-time Human Resources || Assistant to work in our corporate office in Huntsville, AL.As a || Human Resources Assistant, you will be involved with all programs and || services that relate to our companys Human Resources department. || || || || || || || || || ||
  • The HR Assistant duties will include but will not be limited to:
  • || || || ||
  • Processing new hire paperwork ||
  • Ordering and tracking background checks and drug screens ||
  • Assisting employees with logging into the timekeeping and payroll || systems ||
  • Processing terminations ||
  • Setting up new contract information in payroll system ||
  • Benefit enrollments ||
  • Tracking personnel actions ||
  • Date entry ||
  • Setting up and maintaining personnel files ||
  • Answering employee questions ||
  • Assisting payroll with pay issues ||
  • Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries ||
  • Preparing HR reports as required ||
  • Performing general administrative duties as necessary || || || ||
  • Job Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in the operations of Microsoft Office (Word, || Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). ||
  • Must have at least a High school diploma / GED or equivalent ||
  • Must have at least 2 years of HR experience ||
  • Must be experienced in performing routine record keeping || functions with attention to detail ||
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team || environment ||
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to || identify issues and reach resolution in a timely manner ||
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills ||
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally ||
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, || present numerical data in a resourceful manner and skillfully || gather and analyze information ||
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use || time efficiently ||
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and be able to monitor || work for quality ||
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and respond to || management direction and feedback ||
  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Unit and Service Contract || Act employees is preferred || || || ||
