We are currently hiring for a Human Resources Coordinator to work in our Huntsville, Alabama office. Office hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the employee experience by ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance, while also maintaining accurate employee records and providing day-to-day HR support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their HR career in a collaborative environment. Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinate job postings across platforms and track applicant flow. Schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and assist with pre-employment processes (e.g., background checks, E-Verify, references). Prepare offer letters and coordinate onboarding tasks including new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and system setup. HR Operations & Employee Support Assist with payroll processing including compiling timesheets and payroll system inputs. Maintain and update HRIS with personnel changes, new hires, terminations, and benefits data. Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and general HR processes. Prepare HR documents such as employment verifications, status change forms, work authorizations and compliance notices. Benefits & Compliance Assist with benefits enrollment, open enrollment coordination, and vendor communication. Review invoices for accuracy. Ensure compliance with federal contractor regulations (e.g., EEO, AAP, VETS-4212) and assist in maintaining required documentation. Help monitor training requirements, record retention, and policy acknowledgments. Special Projects & Admin Support HR projects such as policy rollouts, employee surveys, and recognition programs. Coordinate logistics for training sessions, company events, and HR-related communications, including monthly newsletters and awards. Assist with HR data reporting and basic analytics to inform decision-making.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 2+ years of experience in an HR assistant, recruiting coordinator, or similar administrative role. Working knowledge of HR practices, HRIS systems, and employment laws. Familiarity with federal contractor compliance requirements (e.g., OFCCP, EEO, AAP).
