  • Posting jobs, compiling resumes, and coordinating interviews. Managing pre-employment paperwork to ensure new hires are ready for orientation. Assist with Orientation
  • Notify internal parties of new hires and start dates, assist new employees on logging into the HRIS system, verify and upload all new hire documentation in the HRIS system. Facilitate the Onboarding of New Hires (Direct or Contractor)
  • compile offer letters, request copies of employee identification, coordinate all pre-employment screening, verify all paperwork including completion of E-Verify and I9 systems has been received and entered, confirm start date, assist the payroll coordinator with employee benefits, Offboarding Process
  • assist managers with the exit process, conduct exit interviews, provide termination paperwork to the payroll department, notify all internal and external parties of terminations, scan, and upload termination paperwork into the HRIS system. Employee Engagements and Communications
  • Promote positive employee relations and serve as a frontline point of contact for all HR employees’ questions, concerns, and needs.

Organize and issue employee birthday, anniversary, and employee of the month gifts and certificates. Coordinate and prepare the employee newsletter as well as quarterly social events. Assist with yearly open enrollment. Maintain HR Records, Reports and Policy Tracking Documentation

  • Preserve all physical and electronic employee records such as status change forms, employee evaluations, attendance, and disciplinary documents in the HRIS system.

Generate and maintain correspondence, statistical data, special reports, employee tracking spreadsheets on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis as directed. Maintain HS&E records pertaining to accidents. Retain all Workers Comp claims and records. Work Force Development and Community Events Initiatives

  • Participate in HR related HS&E initiatives such as serving on the Health and Safety committee as well as participating in our annual Health and Safety week.

Assist in Workforce Development programs such as scheduling training classes, maintaining the employee training tracker, and storing completed certificates in the employee’s file in the HRIS system. Engage and participate, as directed, in all community events such as Mobile Chamber of Commerce meetings, career fairs, and other recruitment initiatives. Skill Assessment Tracking and Performance Management

  • Support departments in performance management initiatives as needed.

Scheduling meetings with the employee, and ensuring the signed appraisal is uploaded in the HRIS system. Send all completed assessments and status change forms to the payroll department for audit purposes and uploading into the HRIS system. Additional Duties may include aiding with general office management activities such as running errands, making travel arrangements, coordinating onsite and offsite catering activities, and ordering supplies.
