HR Assistant 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars 2519 NW 38th Street, Miami, FL 33142 Summary The Human Resources Assistant will assist with the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) and Accounting department including: compliance, employee records management, payroll, employee engagement, safety initiatives, hiring and onboarding staff, clerical work, and office activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Performs periodic audits of HR and workers compensation case files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Assist with payroll functions with timecard review, job costing, processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, reporting, and distributing checks. Provides support with bank deposits, scanning, checking correspondence, and other accounting clerical tasks. Supports the management and recordkeeping of fleet maintenance documents. Assists with the full cycle of the recruiting process including the new hire orientation and onboarding process. Assists in the execution, planning, and administration of Human Resources events and initiatives. Maintains attendance of safety meetings and training conducted throughout the organization. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties. Provides clerical support to the HR and Accounting department. Performs other duties as assigned Competencies/Skills Written and Verbal Communication Skills Attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks; Time Management Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications. Required Education and Experience Bilingual (English and Spanish) 2+ years of experience in a administrative role Preferred Education and Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related preferred Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
