Job Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting Human Resource operations, ensuring smooth daily functions, and assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, completing interviews, and new hire paperwork. Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and employment laws. Assist in processing payroll and tracking attendance. Address employee inquiries regarding Human Resource policies and company procedures. When necessary, refer the employee to the appropriate person. Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations. Manage Human Resource related documentation, including contracts, confidentiality agreements, and policy acknowledgments. Assist with orientation of new employees. Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records and files. Communicate employee relations to the Human Resource Manager and the leadership team. Perform status with new employees (one week, 30 day, 90 day status). Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the Human Resource Department.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
3+ years Human Resource Experience or administrative support in the healthcare setting is a plus. Strong understanding of Human Resource principles, labor laws, and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of professionalism. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google) and Human Resource Software systems. Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus. Able to make independent decisions. Possess time management skills with the ability to be flexible and switch tasks as needed.
