Job Summary The Coordinator, Micro-Credential and Workforce Programs is responsible for coordinating administrative tasks and overseeing the preparation of micro-credentials and digital badges. This role plays a key part in launching, overseeing, and improving micro-credential programs, coordinating cohort and employer-sponsored activities, and providing resources for workforce development initiatives. Job Description Typical duties may include but are not limited to: Oversees the launch and ongoing coordination of newly developed and existing micro-credential programs. Provides insights and recommendations for continuous program improvement based on data and feedback. Coordinates cohort and employer-sponsored activities, including creating schedules, securing faculty, and managing contract completion in collaboration with departmental colleagues. Creates and delivers educational programs for FGCU staff, students, and current professionals, focusing on micro-credentials, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives. Creates instructor contracts and ensure the proper preparation of resources for a portfolio of micro-credential and workforce development programs. Reviews completion data, feedback, and outcomes to prepare reports for faculty, industry, and community partners, ensuring continuous program enhancement and alignment with workforce needs. Assists departmental leadership with the collection of data and monitoring of program outcomes, contributing to program assessment and improvement. Represents the department at recruitment events, campus activities, and community events to promote micro-credential offerings and raise awareness within the FGCU community. Collaborates with institutional and community career resources to provide job placement support for program participants.

Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:

This position requires either six years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions. Professional, full-time experience working with continuing education, experiential learning, or workforce development programming. Experience with computer systems and proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a discipline related to academic programs at FGCU. Experience as a continuing education or related role at a postsecondary institution. Demonstrated experience in managing multi-faceted projects from concept to execution.

Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment. Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups. Ability to understand, interpret, apply, and explain personnel policies and procedures. Ability to manage and coordinate assignments to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently to complete assignments. Ability to provide professional customer service. Ability to present to large groups.
