This Role:

This role will report to the head of HR and will play a role in just about all areas of the department. Duties include, but are not limited to: Post job advertisements in a variety of online sources Support recruitment efforts by screening and interviewing candidates for open roles Coordinate and attending college / career fairs on behalf of the company Draft offer letters to top selected candidates Help new hires through the preemployment process, including drug and background screening Prepare new hire packets and ensure completion of required documents Onboard new hires and setting them up for success as they start their new jobs Maintain and update employee records (physical and digital) Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits Respond to references and employment verification requests Assist with benefits enrollment and changes (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) Help answer employee questions about benefit coverage Support annual open enrollment and coordinate communication to staff Help to track employee time and attendance records, supporting Payroll by entering and updating payroll information under supervision Help coordinate performance reviews, track completion and maintaining related records Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and assist with preparation for audits or regulatory filings (e.g., EEO, ACA, I-9s) Schedule and track employee training sessions, maintaining training records and supporting compliance-related training Coordinate employee recognition programs, social events, and surveys, distribute internal communications and newsletters, and otherwise support the HR team with culture-building initiatives Maintain HR filing systems and support the HR department in special projects as needed
