Role:
We are seeking a professional and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department and management team in recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, and administrative HR functions. This is a key position that helps uphold our company standards, supports our team culture, and enhances employee relations through excellent service and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with HR and management on staffing needs and job postings. Review applications, pre-screen candidates, and schedule interviews. Coordinate interview calendars and update candidate statuses in Paychex HRIS. May conduct new hire orientation and onboarding (Paychex, Aloha, Hotschedules). Maintain accurate and organized employee records (both digital and physical). Process bi-weekly payroll including manual calculations and tip allocations. Submit WOTC documentation and complete E-Verify for new hires. Perform general HR administrative tasks, including filing and reception rotation. Communicate effectively across departments using Microsoft Teams. Support other HR projects and duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
2+ years of experience in a similiar role, preferably in a fast-paced or hospitality environment. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience with QuickBooks and HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., Paychex). Knowledge of HR principles and employment regulations.
