Work involves inputting, referencing, retrieving, and reporting personnel data using computer equipment; maintaining a broad variety of department records in compliance with applicable regulations, labor agreements and City policy; and providing various support services to Parks and Recreation Department supervisors and managers. The work also requires excellent computer, customer service and interpersonal skills; the ability to meet deadlines and goals using multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to competently assemble complex, detailed information to consistently achieve a professional and error free result.

$21.38 – $32.64

Applicants must:
Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency. Have some knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite, Kronos/WFM, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Have prior experience with pre-employment background investigations preferably with Florida Department of Children and Families Level II background screenings or similar level II screenings. Have some knowledge of laws relating to record keeping. Have some knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations affecting employment processes. Have excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Have considerable knowledge of business English and a high level of expertise in proofreading and use of correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar. Be able to compose clear, concise, error-free correspondence and documents. Be able to detect personnel transaction errors and maintain accurate records and confidentiality of material. Be able to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions. Have good organizational skills. Desirable Qualifications.
Preferred Applicants:
Have some progressive clerical experience in personnel management or a related field. Possess a valid Bachelor’s degree or have considerable experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Have HRMS reporting and data entry/inquiry experience. Have some knowledge of FMLA and Workers Compensation. Are able to maintain a professional demeanor appropriate to a high-profile public office. Have good presentation and coaching skills. Are able to quickly learn, conduct, and convey information regarding complex rules, regulations, and programs. Selection Process
