Bookkeeper & HR Assistant Port 27 Haines City, FL 33844 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper & HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department by managing various administrative tasks, assisting with recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date. Support onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation and training coordination. Prepare and maintain financial reports related to HR activities, including budgeting and accounts payable. Process journal entries and assist with governmental accounting tasks as needed. Utilize financial software such as for tracking HR-related expenses and reporting. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication regarding employee matters. Provide support for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and payroll processes. Help creating and updating workers schedules. Requirements Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits and credits. Experience with financial report writing and budgeting is preferred. Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus. Proficiency in using financial software, particularly Sage or similar applications. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally. Previous experience in an HR or administrative role is advantageous but not required.
