Human Resources Assistant WorkerBee’s Pro Winter Haven, FL 33881 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, forward calls, and provide information. Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements; conduct reference or background checks, interview to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills; select qualified applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate. Schedule or administer skill, intelligence, psychological, or drug tests for current or prospective employees. Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications. Perform searches for qualified candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referrals. Develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs. Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software. Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data. Ensure the HR Department is organized and operates to support employees. Interpret and explain human resources (HR) policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations. Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits. Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures. Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), labor laws and ensure compliance of federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Thinking creatively, organizing, planning, and prioritizing work, developing objectives and strategies, making decisions and solving problems, updating and using relevant knowledge, interpreting the meaning of information for others, judging the qualities of things, services, or people. Experience Associate’s degree or equivalent experience considered. Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Certified Professional certificate will be required within first year of holding job position. Confidentiality, integrity, dependability, and cooperation. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Must agree to (and pass) a background check and drug screening testing. Prior HR experience required.
