Yes Job Objective/ Summary The responsibility of a Human Resources Assistant is to compile and keep personnel records. This position records data for each employee, such as address, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports, and date of and reason for termination. The Human Resources Assistant may prepare reports for employment records, file employment records, or search employee files to furnish information to authorized persons. Essential Functions Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence. Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants. Gather personnel records from other departments or employees. Examine employee files to answer inquires and provide information for personnel actions. Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information. Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities. Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references to determine applicant’s employment eligibility. Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants. Post internal job vacancies, notify eligible workers of position availability and scheduling of interviews. Adhere to The Estates at Carpenters’ policies and procedures, including those covering privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and codes of conduct. Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and personnel information systems. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Active Listening
