Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Administrative & Front Desk Assistant . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with the public, supporting animal welfare, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of our shelter.
Key Responsibilities:
Public Interaction:
Greet visitors, answer incoming calls, and provide general information about shelter services and programs. Direct guests and callers to the appropriate staff members.
Record Keeping & Data Entry:
Maintain accurate electronic and paper files. Enter data into shelter software systems. Process adoption applications and other forms.
Administrative Support:
Manage incoming and outgoing mail. Schedule appointments and assist with general correspondence. Process donations and issue acknowledgments.
Office Organization:
Maintain a clean and well-organized front office space. Monitor and restock office supplies. Provide support for various administrative projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles for an Animal Shelter or Vet office required. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable using computers and office software; experience with animal shelter software is a plus. A genuine interest in animal welfare and the mission of our organization. Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
