POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Clerk provides support to many positions within the Human Resources office and other departments. Additionally, this position performs a variety of administrative support functions ranging from running background checks to a variety of data entry and data reporting tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED. Two years of clerical/administrative support experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs and general knowledge of other software and web based applications (i.e. Gmail, etc.). Experience working with a diverse group of people. Embodies the core values of the district; relational, purposeful, reflective, resourceful, courageous and accountable. Must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential functions of the position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree. Experience working in a Human Resources office. Knowledge of CPI reporting in the K-12 Georgia school system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts background checks on all new hires and renewals. Responsible for CPI reporting. Responsible for the printing of employee badges. Processes all employment verifications. Assists and coordinates with several detailed reporting and data entry functions. Responsible for scanning documents into employment files. Assists with open records requests. Runs reports as needed. Assists with back up coverage of the front office. Assists with new hire orientation, annual recruitment fair and other related events. Performs other duties as requested.
