Job Summary The HR Data Services Assistant is a non-exempt full-time position that reports to the HR Data Services Supervisor at the University System of Georgia (USG) Shared Services Center (SSC). This position works under general supervision to research and resolve routine HR data and payroll-related errors and issues, support centralized dual appointment processing, audit HR data, assist with corrections, and testing business processes. Responsibilities Provides excellent customer service to ensure effective, accurate, and timely support and communication related to employment, benefits and compensation data, and issue resolution.
Assists HR Data Services and ITS teams in researching and resolving routine practitioner, employee, and service provider issues (data and system issues), benefits enrollment, premiums, workflow questions/issues or interface file transfers. Conducts routine data audits for quality assurance and assists practitioners with corrections; keeps SSC leadership abreast of audit findings Provides and follows standardized business procedures, provides applicable policies to institution practitioners Keeps abreast of federal, state, and USG policies and guidelines Supports centralized dual appointment processing Assists SSC analysts and other subject matter experts in gathering, validating, and documenting various system information and needs. Under direction of HR Data Services Analysts, performs new functionality and system testing; follows system test plans Testing for possible resolution of HR and payroll errors and issues Provides recommendations to HR Data Services Supervisor and Manager related to continuous process improvement of operational and business processes. Assists the HR Data Services Team by testing new and updated HR related data processing guides and providing feedback and recommendations for change Assists the HR Data Services Team with the development of specialized training sessions for end users on USG¿s HCM system and HR and payroll business processes Assists the HR Data Services Team with SSC HR responsibilities (i.e., providing FMLA documents, processing data) Assists with SSC employee personnel files and search committee records maintenance; scans and organizes confidential employment documents into online imaging and management system Serve as backup for HR Data Services staff Other duties as required, including building management Required Qualifications This position requires a bachelor¿s degree and one (1) year of HR or HRIS related experience, benefits, administrative support experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the necessary knowledge and skills. Proven Customer Service Skills
