HR COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(includes travel requirements for training as needed) Assists Plant HR Manager and Payroll in administering all hourly wage, gain share, equalization, incentives and employee benefit programs including insurance, 401(k) and various employee relations activities. Resource for employees regarding benefit programs including Medical, Dental, Life, Voluntary Life, 401(k), etc. Conduct Open Enrollment meetings and annual Compliance and Atlas Policy training. Manage all departmental payroll sign offs. Maintain structure, content, and integrity of employee files, including personal data, compensation, benefits, payroll, tax data, attendance records, personnel documentation and termination data with supporting documentation electronically in ADP. Maintain records and monitor compliance on all employee leaves; medical, FMLA, STD/LTD, personal LOA. Assure fair and equitable treatment of all employees along with plant supervision. Assure compliance with the Employee Handbook and Union Labor Agreement. Coordinate hourly recruiting efforts; conduct on-boarding and new hire orientation. Assist in responding to unemployment claims, union grievances and any federal and state agencies dealing with employee matters. Assist in the determination and identification of plant training needs. Research various training options and set up training schedules as required. Counsel employees as required. Assist Plant HR Manager and department heads in maintaining day-to-day union management relationships to improve morale and assist management in carrying out leadership responsibilities. Oversee the safety shoe and safety glass reimbursement program. Maintain professional relationships with employees and community, union representatives, and various organizations to assure company goodwill. Assist with all other HR projects on an as needed basis.

HR COORDINATOR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent a must. Associate’s degree in related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years’ experience as human resources support role preferred. Experience working in manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred but not required

HR COORDINATOR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer skills required include MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point), ADP Workforce Now and ADP Recruiting Manager experience a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Knowledgeable in Employment Law Experience in all HR related tasks including benefits, recruitment, compensation, training and development, HRIS, and administration Ability to communicate clearly (both orally and written) to personnel from a variety of functional areas Ability to enter, manipulate and retrieve data from the computer Professional presentation to employees, vendors, contractors, and customers Analytical and advanced mathematic skills Objectivity required during internal investigations Organizational and interpersonal skills Motivates and influences others in a positive manner. Establishes goals and priorities. Follows through on projects in a timely manner.
