We provide HR expertise, strategic and timely support, creative and competent advice, meaningful and courteous service, and efficient and reliable processes. Job Summary Work directly with the HR Specialist in the Student Employment Center of Human Resources. Processes employment and other job related transactions for all types of student employees; receives and reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy; enters data into OneUSG Connect database according to proper procedures. Clears all employees who are leaving AU according to exit procedures. Enters/reviews all employee and job data in PeopleSoft. Responsibilities Processes and enters data Processes and enters/reviews data in PeopleSoft for all student employee new hires, terminations, salary changes, and transfers in a timely and accurate manner according to the published payroll schedule. Reviews own data entry for accuracy. Reviews pre-payroll queries to ensure all data is accurate prior to pay run. Completes other tasks Serve as backup for the HR Specialist in the Student Employment Center section of Human Resources. Performs all other job-related clerical functions as assigned Review for Accuracy Receives and reviews for accuracy and completeness all electronic personnel action requests and audits corresponding employment documents for student employees; processes accordingly. Processes clearance Completes AU clearance process for all terminating student employees. Backup Documentation Scan/Drag drop all backup documentation and transactional information for student employees into the students personnel record in Application Extender. Provides customer Services Provides highest level of customer service to campus employees, department managers, retirees, and other AU business units as necessary to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data. This will include coordination with OneUSG Connect – Benefits. Assists walk-in customers with inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a State or Federal accrediting organization and three years of HR experience or an Associate degree from an accredited college or university with two years of HR experience working with an integrated database system Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and ten years’ experience working in a high level administrative support capacity. Experience working in a higher education organization. Preferred Experience Bachelors degree and 1 year of HR experience. Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS Experience working in Higher Education and/or working with non-US citizens Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, decision-making and prioritization skills Ability to apply discretion in all communications and actions to insure professionalism at all times, often in difficult situations In-depth knowledge of accounting, AU policies and procedures, PeopleSoft Purchase processes, PeopleSoft Financials and Foundation Accounts and report generation

$18.85/hour Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
