Hours:
Part Time (10-15 hours per week, Monday – Thursday; Mornings) FinishTek specializes in providing cutting-edge low and high-volume hydrographic applications, offering a wide range of film patterns and finishes for recreational and commercial products. Our expertise and commitment to quality enable us to support businesses with customized solutions for aesthetic and functional product finishes. The HR Coordinator provides on-site human resources support for the FinishTek location, with a strong focus on temporary workforce coordination, hourly employee processes, and general HR administrative tasks. This role works closely with Corporate HR and the local leadership team to ensure smooth onboarding, compliance, employee engagement, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Temporary Workforce Management:
Coordinate with temp agencies to place orders for new temporary employees Advertise open positions in local communities (Corporate HR manages Indeed postings) Conduct plant tours, introduce new temps to supervisors, and review company policies Report approved wage adjustments to temp agencies Review and reconcile weekly timecards; report wages to temp agencies Review, reconcile, and approve temp agency invoices for submission to Corporate (support from Haley available)
Hourly Employee Administration:
Prepare and distribute the Hourly Employee Labor Summary weekly, including: Employee names, hours worked, pay rate, start date, last raise date, temp agency name, and markup (requires Paychex access; can be automated) Track and report employee attendance points using Excel Maintain hourly employee vacation calendar
Onboarding & New Hire Support:
Coordinate onboarding for direct hire employees in collaboration with Corporate HR Schedule new hire orientation sessions and benefit meetings Ensure completion of all hiring paperwork and offer letters for temp-to-hire transitions Perform E-Verify checks and manage identification documentation
Employee Engagement & Events:
Plan and coordinate employee appreciation events such as holiday parties, team lunches, and seasonal treats (e.g., Gatorade, ice cream)
Safety & Compliance Support:
Assist with safety initiatives at the FinishTek site: Maintain safety postings and distribute newsletters Track quarterly safety trainings and audit completion Upload and organize MSDS sheets in the safety folder Participate in safety audits and walkthroughs
Qualifications:
Prior experience in an HR support or administrative role preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently •
