Works collaboratively with the CEO, COO, Principals and Director of Student Support Vision for the Role The HR & Finance Administrator plays a vital cross-functional role, supporting both the employee experience and financial operations at Bricolage. This team member ensures that human resources systems run smoothly—from onboarding and benefits administration to employee records, compliance, and offboarding—while also managing key financial tasks such as invoice processing, reconciliation, and transaction tracking. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, excellent communication, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

| Responsibilities Employee Onboarding & Compliance Prepare salary quotes and offer letters Manage all aspects of onboarding, including paperwork and I-9 documentation Ensure all employees pass background checks prior to their start date Submit new hire reports to the Louisiana Workforce Commission Conduct regular audits of background checks and I-9s Certification Management Track teacher certifications and ensure compliance with state requirements Submit and manage applications to the Louisiana Department of Education Monitor expiration dates and support staff in maintaining certifications Personnel Records Maintain accurate and secure personnel files for current and former employees Update employee records in partnership with the Finance team (e.g., salary, status, name changes) Support state-mandated PEP reporting and audits Talent Acquisition Support Screen incoming resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates Conduct initial phone screen interviews with potential hires Make recommendations for candidates to move forward in the hiring process Coordinate next steps with hiring managers and communicate with candidates as needed Benefits Administration Administer all staff benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, state retirement) Enroll and terminate benefits as needed and reconcile billing monthly Lead open enrollment processes annually Manage medical leave requests, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and maternity Track Paid Time Off (PTO) in collaboration with managers Employee Offboarding Coordinate offboarding process and ensure exiting employees receive proper documentation Conduct exit interviews and gather feedback to inform organizational improvement Support transitions by updating systems and benefits information Staff Training & Development Plan and deliver all HR-related professional development sessions for staff Ensure staff are informed and trained on HR systems, benefits, compliance, and policy updates Finance Support Maintain and update financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries Prepare and process financial transactions such as invoices, checks, and deposits Compute bills and charges, send invoices, and track payments Enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets Assist with preparation of financial reports and statements Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts Respond to customer and staff inquiries related to financial matters Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree Minimum of two years of experience in human resources or employee operations Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and follow through on deliverables Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with competing priorities Strong customer-service mindset and team orientation Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar) Preferred Familiarity with Paylocity, QuickBooks, AnyBill, and Bill.com Experience managing employee records and benefits using an HRIS platform Experience supporting payroll, benefits reconciliation, or vendor payments Compensation & Benefits Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience.
