The Human Resources Assistant supports the Director of Human Resources by assisting with recruiting for various positions, benefits administration, administrative support, employee relations and miscellaneous other day to day needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Recruiting and Hiring support : Edit and update job postings on a bi-weekly basis to achieve maximum response Pre-Screen all qualified candidates and present to hiring managers for feedback Source candidates from Indeed and LinkedIn for hard to fill positions Assist with implementation of ATS system in UKG Assist with creating a catalog of all job descriptions at Woodmeister that are consistent and built into an approved template
Support Employees :
Open door for questions on benefits, question about PTO available, etc. Benefits Administration – Assist and coordinate all communication surrounding annual open enrollment announcements, process enrollments and changes with benefits and payroll.
Employee Reviews :
Organize, distribute, and maintain a receipt record of all the annual and midyear performance reviews. Establish invites and reminders for 30, 60 and 90-day check-ins for all new hires with the hiring manager and Director of Human Resources. Assist with creating a new onboarding process to include safety and engagement across the whole WMB organization for all new team members.
Back Office HR Miscellaneous :
Basic Administrative tasks include managing HR calendar, calling important items to Director of Human Resources’ attention without delay, day to day filing of paperwork as needed, and additional projects as needed.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not required At least 3 years of Administrative experience preferred with benefit administration and UKG or another HRIS system Customer service skills, professional demeanor, excellent written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, anticipate department / individual employee needs. Discretion, confidentiality, ability to make judgments regarding appropriate actions This position is in office 5 days a week for 40 hours. Overtime may be available depending on scope of work.
