PeoplesChoice Credit Union, one of Maine’s Best Places to Work for 15 years running, is looking for an HR Assistant to join our team. You’ll be part of an HR team that that supports our incredible staff—from helping new hires get settled in to planning employee events and making sure payroll and benefits stay on track. What You’ll Do:
Welcome New Team Members
- Help coordinate onboarding, make sure new hires have what they need, and set a positive tone from day one. Support the Day-to-Day
- Handle tasks like payroll processing, benefits coordination, and employee recordkeeping. Keep Us Organized
- Update internal tools and documents, manage calendars and shared spaces, and help with logistics for meetings and events. Celebrate Our People
- Coordinate employee recognition programs, track birthdays and milestones, and help plan appreciation events. Pitch in on Projects
- From organizing community events to putting together Board meeting materials, you’ll be involved in a little bit of everything. Get into the Details
- Organize records, keep SharePoint sites updated, and ensure everything is documented and up to date.
What We’re Looking For:
Someone who’s reliable, detail-oriented, and likes getting things done. A strong communicator who’s comfortable juggling tasks and shifting priorities. Someone who handles sensitive information with care and professionalism. A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. We require the first 90 days to be in the office to ensure a smooth onboarding process. After that, a minimum of 2-3 days per week in person is required, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the time based on scheduling needs.
