Minimum of three years of relevant experience and/or education in Human Resources
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PeopleSoft
Working knowledge of employment laws, payroll regulations, and benefit administration
Familiarity with HRA, FSA, COBRA, and MDES processes
Basic accounting knowledge, including account reconciliation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
Associate degree in a related field may be accepted with 3+ years of direct HR experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment, Onboarding, and Offboarding
Support the hiring process by coordinating job postings, applicant tracking, interviews, and selection procedures
Facilitate the onboarding and orientation process for new employees
Assist with the completion of required hiring documentation and compliance forms
Support offboarding procedures, including the completion of exit documentation and system updates
Employee Records and System Maintenance
Maintain and update employee records and HR systems to ensure data accuracy
Process employee changes such as departmental transfers, compensation adjustments, and benefits updates
Ensure documentation and compliance for employee leave, benefits, and workplace policies
Respond to employment verification and general HR information requests
Benefits and Payroll Coordination
Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs and related communications
Coordinate and reconcile payroll-related deductions and benefit transactions
Support benefit enrollment processes and handle updates related to employee life events
General HR Operations
Provide timely and professional responses to employee inquiries
Support compliance with federal and state employment regulations
Assist with reporting, auditing, and general HR-related documentation
Act as a point of contact between employees and administration for HR matters
