Under the direction of the Dietary Supervisor the Culinary Assistant is responsible for Document control and menu planning. The Culinary Assistant works alongside the dietitian, Supervisor of Dietary and Cook to assist in planning meals for the patient, employees and visitors of hospital. Duties will include HAACP documentation, Filebound, Oracle, and Epic proficiency. At all times work assignments will be determined by adjustment of patient census and current staff levels. The Culinary Assistant will be assigned to work an 80hr. pay period and rotate every other weekend. The hours of work will be morning shift from 8:00 to 4:30 p.m. The Culinary Assistant is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures and regulations for the department and the organization. Must be able to relate and work in a professional non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients and visitors. Attendance to yearly mandatory education is non- negotiable and is the responsibility of the employee to schedule and attend sessions.
