The Human Resource Administrative Assistant is responsible for corresponding with customers by mail, email, and phone. Additional responsibilities include processing interoffice mail, payroll data entry, document filing, maintaining, and distributing labor posters, and working closely with our customer compliment, community giving, and scholarship programs. Key Responsibilities Interact with customers courteously and professionally.
Collaborates with various teams and departments in the corporate offices to file reports, answer questions, and provide solutions and technical support to customers.
Creates and maintains knowledge base articles.
Knowledgeable of all retail front-end policies.
Effectively communicate feedback received by customers to store management and the leadership team.
Works closely with the Loyalty Marketing Department to provide technical support to customers for the Advantage Card, Advantage Mail, Curbside, and Fuel Point programs.
Contact customers regarding lost keys or personal items while following privacy policy guidelines.
Scan and index various HR forms and documents into the filing system.
Assists with intake and responds to Ingles Markets Community Giving Committee requests.
Receives and distributes compliments to associates.
Maintains and distributes labor posters to all locations.
Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms or documents.
Answers basic employee questions about human resources policies or offerings.
Schedules interviews, orientations, or training sessions.
Processes employee status changes or benefits enrollments; maintains records of completed transactions.
Inputs HR-related data and compiles standard reports for management review.
Performs other duties and assignments as directed.
The Ideal Candidate:
The associate must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent; however, an associate degree in a business-related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for an associate degree.
One year of experience in Human Resources or a comparable field is preferred.
Experience with basic computer skills (email, voicemail, internet/intranet, etc.)
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively communicate with employees, coworkers, and vendors.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a diverse workforce.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs especially during times of high volume and/or stress.
