Administrative/HR Assistant 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars Kinston, NC 28501 We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our team as an Administrative/Clerical Office Support & HR Assistant . This dual-role position involves performing a variety of administrative tasks, supporting HR operations, and ensuring payroll accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a team-oriented attitude.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00
PM Salary :
Based on experience and qualifications (to be discussed during the interview process) Key Responsibilities Administrative and Clerical Support Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently. Organize, store, and retrieve files to maintain an efficient record-keeping system. Input employee application details into the company database accurately. Collect, verify, and organize documentation for new hires to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Process and monitor background checks for potential hires. Ensure timely completion of Section 2 of the I-9 form within three business days of an employee’s start date. Regularly update and maintain the new hire onboarding tracker to reflect current milestones and status for each employee. Payroll Management Accurately key employee time data into payroll systems or spreadsheets. Balance and verify payroll invoices for accuracy. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, time tracking, and deductions Human Resources Functions Assist with onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. Support benefits administration and employee record maintenance. Leverage advanced Excel skills for data entry, analysis, and reporting. Flexibly handle additional HR and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of consistent work experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles. Proven experience in payroll processing and basic HR functions is preferred. Skills and Competencies Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Fast and accurate typing skills. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a team, contribute positively, and understand team dynamics. Adaptable and willing to learn new responsibilities and technologies. #
