Job Description

Level 2/3 CO-ASST. Director B-K Certified Legacy Academy Carrboro, NC 27510 Co-Assistant Director -(Level 2/3 Required) Position partners with current Director to manage and mentor, interview and hire staff to support and growing 5 Star, NAEYC Accredited program -capacity 150. Located in Chapel Hill, we are an accredited program of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and hold a five-star license with the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education. We provide a high-quality early childhood education program, including extended day options. This is a salaried position with bonus opportunities. A Director’s salary is based on the candidate’s education/experience.

Responsibilities:

Maintain compliance with accreditations and licensing regulations, including health and safety practices Implement school policies and budget Manage fiscal operations including payroll, tuition invoicing, supply purchasing Implement developmentally-appropriate, play-based curriculum and stay abreast of best practices Recruit, hire, train, supervise and review staff Recruit and retain families by giving tours, meeting with parents Organize school social events, and partner with volunteers on fundraising events Promote communication with the community by updating weekly e-newsletter Promote stewardship of donors

Qualifications:
B.A./B.S.
