The Department of Commerce, Division of Human Resources is currently accepting applications for the HR Technician II located in Raleigh This position is part of a team supporting recruiting and selection activities within the NC Department of Commerce. The position will provide support to the Division of Workforce Solutions NCWorks Career Center staff located across the state of North Carolina. The position will be located in Raleigh at the division central office. The specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
using the web-based applicant tracking system (NEOGOV) to post vacancies;
reviewing applicants for minimum qualifications;
determining the most qualified applicant pools to refer to hiring managers;
utilizing the NEOGOV system to document selected candidates;
determining salary recommendations based on state salary administration policies;
providing technical assistance to managers/supervisors regarding the recruitment, selection, and salary administration policies and processes; and

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required; or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
