Description:
We are a privately-owned cooperative group of Veterinary Hospitals in North Carolina and operate Emergency, Primary Care, Spay/Neuter, and Specialty Hospitals as well as Pet Resorts. The HR Generalist will interact and support employees’ company-wide, performing Human Resources related duties in the functional HR areas such as Employee Relations, Recruiting, administration, compliance, and other special projects. Responsibilities Will lead investigations under the direction of Director or Employee Relations, attending and participating in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations. Manage job postings and assist in recruiting from internal and external sources, as needed. Assist with new employee onboarding. Oversee the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including Transitional Work Program and Accommodations Process. Assure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently. Assist in employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Maintain accurate employee status and organizational updates; including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, org chart updates, etc. to maintain data integrity within the HRIS and ensure personnel files current. Ensure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS database. Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports.
