HR Assistant:
Coordinate and maintain clinical staffing schedules and master scheduling for nursing departments. Respond to internal and external HR inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Assist in the recruitment process, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and conduct background checks. Support new hire orientation and maintain updated compliance and training records. Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HR documentation. Provide in-services and help track corporate compliance mandates for all staff. Collaborate with department heads to ensure adequate staff coverage. Stay current with labor law and employment equity regulations to ensure HR compliance. Perform other administrative duties and HR support tasks as assigned. Who we’re looking for:
Required:
Proven experience scheduling nursing home clinical staff (shifts and master schedules). Experience in a Human Resources department or healthcare environment strongly preferred. Working knowledge of labor laws and employment compliance standards. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Highly organized, with great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and HR/scheduling software. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and HIPAA compliance awareness. A collaborative, team-first mindset with a positive, professional attitude.
