Job Description Nicholson Corporation is currently seeking an energetic and results driven Payroll / HR Administrator. They will report to the company’s Director of Payroll and assist with various responsibilities of the payroll and HR departments. This position will collaborate with the Field Superintendents, Foremen, and office staff as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Weekly & Monthly payroll fundamentals such as: o Intake & entry of new hires into the on-site ERP o Intake and processing of layoffs & missed time requests o Payroll time entry and reconciliation thereof union personnel o Addressing payroll related requests / inquiries from field personnel o Monitoring and response of all incoming payroll phone calls and email
- Weekly & Monthly compliance reporting of: o Certified Payrolls § LCP Tracker and/or eMars a major plus o
OCIP/CCIP
reporting on various online portals o MEUR Reporting
- Maintenance of all union documentation such as union CBA agreements, rate and fringe increase rate schedules
- Processing unemployment & disability claims
- HR and Benefits administration
- Intake and entry of child support and garnishment IWO’s
- PTO tracking / Maintenance of the company’s PTO calendar
- Assisting PR Department with migration and implementation of a new payroll system
- Assisting in transition, implementation, & ongoing maintenance of mobile time application
- File Maintenance and other associated clerical duties
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, & external parties
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience with in-house payroll processing and/or HR/Benefits administration
- Union (construction trades preferred) & Non Union environment experience a plus
- Experience processing payroll for 200+ employees
- Construction background or industry related background is preferred
- Prevailing wage data familiarity
- Foundation Software/ Sage 300/hh2 Software a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
- High degree of confidentiality
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent customer service
- Advanced administrative and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency (advanced excel knowledge a plus)
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
