Job Description
Support managers in enforcing time and attendance policies within their departments
Assist managers in identifying employees who may need coaching or corrective actions regarding attendance issues
Facilitate meetings involving the employee, department manager and union representative (if applicable) to address attendance issues
Maintain detailed and accurate records of attendance infractions, employee communication and meetings
Document the outcome of each meeting
Prepare and submit all necessary documentation to Labor regarding attendance infractions requiring disciplinary action
Audit T&A data to identify patterns of concern or violations of policy
Provide reports to HR leadership on attendance trends and overall workforce attendance
Gain knowledge of T&A policy related to time tracking, types of absences, attendance expectations, types of absences, threshold for acceptable absences and the CBA disciplinary procedures
Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline; or
2. Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline and two (2) years of relevant experience in human resources or personnel administration, labor relations, employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition, customer service (providing information and resolving customer concerns), or a related administrative support function; or
3. High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and four (4) years of relevant experience, as described in “2” above. Department Preferences
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Labor Relations
Excellent communication skills
Strong documentation skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to work collaboratively with management and Labor Relations
Proficiency in HR software
Two (2) years Labor Relations
Two (2) additional years in Labor/Employee Relations or Human Resources in a healthcare setting
