GENERAL FUNCTION

: The Recruiting Assistant assists with staff recruitment and employment functions including facilitation of the phone screening and scheduling interview process and assisting with new employee orientations. The Recruiting Assistant assists with the administration of the recruitment process, prepares, and maintains pre-employment files and documentation. This position, based in the Pittsburgh-area office and reports to the Corporate Human Resources Director.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with all activities related to talent acquisition and employee lifecycle; Conducts the resume review and phone screening process; Facilitates scheduling of virtual interviews; Completes hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start; Assists with the dispositioning of all candidates in the Applicant Tracking System (Laceo); Processes new employees through the provision of new hire onboarding (i.e., completion of forms, review of company policies, practices and procedures, verifying I9s, and E-verify); Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment; Stays current on issues in employment law related to Human Resources; Exhibits professionalism on a daily basis; and routinely deals with delicate and confidential information; and Assists with assigned projects and performs related duties as required. The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by the incumbent of this job. Incumbent may be required to perform job-related task other than those specifically presented in this description.

SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge – Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Contact center background preferred. Thorough knowledge of HR procedures pertaining to duties and responsibilities of this job description. Skills/Abilities – Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written), organization and strong PC proficiency. Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and relate to a broad range of employees. Also, must possess the ability to cope with conflicting points of view and to handle the unexpected. Exhibits professionalism to routinely deal with delicate and confidential information. Previous experience with HR technology tools, such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), electronic onboarding software and talent acquisition databases (navigation and search techniques) required. Experience – Minimum of one to three years of related Recruiting Assistant experience required. Minimum two years’ experience with high volume recruitment required.
