Job Description

Human Resources Coordinator Community Action Partnership of Cambria County Johnstown, PA 15901 Job Summary 1. The position of Human Resources Coordinator involves specialized work in providing assistance to the Human Resources Department of Community Action Partnership of Cambria County. 2. This position is supervised directly by the Human Resources Director of Community Action Partnership of Cambria County.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists the Human Resources Department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures. 2. Assist HR Director with benefits administration and workers’ compensation claims. 3. Types a variety of material with accuracy and completeness, following accepted formats, forms, and instructions. 4. Maintain and update employee records and files, filing documents into appropriate employee records, conducting file audits with the HR Director quarterly. 5. Track and maintain current files for staff driver’s licenses, auto insurance, bus driver recertifications, and clearances. 6. Performs Annual, Full, and Limited Queries on Bus Drivers in the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. 7. Assists HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects. 8. Assists with EEO-1 and OSHA reporting annually. 9. Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies and keeping up-to-date with employment regulations per program requirements. 10. Assist with addressing employee inquiries and resolving workplace issues. 11. Performs various administrative tasks including but not limited to answering phones, taking messages, and directing inquiries to appropriate staff. 12. Performs annual data entry into agency databases. 13. Coordinates recruitment and interview processes, assisting with the hiring process and conducting new employee onboarding. 14. Assists employees and new hires with obtaining appropriate clearances necessary. 15. Enters all newly hired employees within the Early Childhood Programs into agency databases. 16. Facilitate employee training and development as necessary. 17. Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

: 1. Attends meetings as required. 2. Participates in required job-related training. 3. Assists staff members with miscellaneous tasks as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

: 1. Working knowledge of computers, including MS Word, Excel, and other related programs including client tracking software. 2. Proficient oral and written communication skills. 3. Ability to deal tactfully with the public. 4. Working knowledge of outcome-based services. 5. Must have good attention to detail.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

1. Associate degree in HR/Business related field. (Required) 2. Minimum 1 to 2 years of HR experience. (Required) 4. Current PA driver’s license and reliable transportation. (Required) 5. Must obtain Child Abuse, PA State Police, FBI Fingerprinting and NSOR Clearances prior to starting employment. (Required)
