HR Generalist:

The HR Generalist serves as a field-based HR support professional focused on employee engagement, conflict resolution, employee relations, and day-to-day HR administration. This position requires travel to multiple project sites throughout the Southeast and in-office presence at our Great Falls, SC headquarters twice per week . The HR Generalist works closely with project teams, employees, and the HR Manager to support a positive workplace culture, address employee concerns, and assist with internal HR processes. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide HR support to field teams by traveling to project sites to meet with employees and address workplace issues Promote and facilitate employee engagement and retention across the organization Assist in resolving employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and team-related issues in partnership with the HR Manager Support employee relations through coaching, guidance, and timely communication Maintain accurate documentation related to employee relations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution Assist with internal HR processes such as policy interpretation, data entry, and HR-related correspondence Participate in and support project-level HR meetings and initiatives May assist with benefits support and general employee inquiries Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment Support and uphold UIG values and culture at all times Perform additional administrative and HR-related duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably with employee-facing or field-based responsibilities Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Excellent communication, documentation, and follow-up ability Must be self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems a plus Valid driver’s license required and must meet company driving standards Legally eligible to work in the United States Must be able to travel frequently to project sites across the region
