Job Responsibilities The Administrative Specialist II will support various functional areas of the Human Resource Management (HRM) Department in an administrative capacity. This role will facilitate all aspects of the temporary employment onboarding process and serve as the front desk receptionist as well as ensure data integrity with HRM systems and files. This role will be responsible for the following duties: Review and process temporary agreement actions, to include criminal background checks, documents for new hires, verification of identification documents for Form I-9 compliance in accordance with federal guidelines. Key employee information data into Colleague, and organize records/files.
Assist with front desk responsibilities to include receiving, logging, processing, and routing actions/employment related documents, completing employment verifications, distributing incoming mail to appropriate HRM Staff, providing service excellence to employees, students, and the general public in-person, by phone, and/or email.
Review employment related information to ensure the integrity of human resources data and compile reports as needed. Scan and file documents into correct folders within the Etrieve system. This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma. Preferred Qualifications Ability to think critically. Ability to multitask and take initiative. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Ellucian Colleague. Demonstrated experience with process improvement in an HR environment. Ability to work well with others. Welcoming and friendly demeanor. Willingness to assist individuals and direct them to the most useful resources in response to their inquiries. Must be able to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
